Cabinet & Furniture Cleaning

Laminate, Melamine and Vinyl parts:

Dust and loose dirt: To clean, simply wipe the area with a soft terrycloth towel. If the dirt persists, dampen the towel with warm water and rub in a circular motion until the dirt is removed.  Then simply dry the area with a towel.

Grease and food: To clean, dampen a soft terrycloth towel with warm water, and rub in a circular motion until clean.  Then simply dry the area with a towel.  If the dirt persists, spray a squirt of "Fantastic" (a spray cleaner) on a clean portion of the towel, and rub in a circular motion until the dirt is removed.  Afterwards, simply dry the area with a towel.

Wood stained and painted finishes:

Dust and loose dirt: To clean, wipe the area with a soft white terrycloth towel - Always take care to wipe in the same direction as the wood grain.  If the dirt persists, remove all loose dirt; dampen a clean white terrycloth towel with warm water and gently rub until the area is clean.  Lastly, dry the dampened area using a fresh terrycloth towel.

Grease and food: To clean, dampen a soft white terrycloth towel with warm water, and remove all loose dirt - Always take care to wipe in the same direction as the wood grain.  After the dirt has been removed, dry the dampened area with a soft terrycloth towel.  If the dirt persists, spray a squirt of "Fantastic" (a spray cleaner) on a clean section of the towel, and gently rub until the dirt is removed - Repeat as needed.  Immediately afterwards, neutralize the cleaned area by gently wiping off the residue with a soft terrycloth towel dampened in warm water.  Lastly, wipe off the dampened area with a soft terrycloth towel.

Spills:

Be sure to clean all spills immediately.  Use extra care when cleaning spills from moldings, doors, and drawer front edges, especially those around sink cabinets, dishwashers, and bars.

Glass Doors:

Any glass cleaner purchased at your local grocer can be used to clean your glass surfaces.  However, in order to protect the wood and its finishes that may surround the glass, simply spray the cleaner on a soft snag free towel before cleaning.  Be sure to neutralize any residual cleaner using the same directions explained under Wood Stained and Paint Finishes - Grease and Food.

Do not use: Solvents, cleansers, detergents, abrasive cleaners, abrasives, products containing silicone, or oil products such as Orange Oils, Watco Oils, or the like.  In addition, do not use any aerosol cleaners such as Pledge, Old English, or the like.  It is important to note that products such as scrub pads, steel wool, and towels with screen printing on them can damage the fine finishes applied on all Woodtech Cabinet Specialists, Inc. products.  Use of any of these items or equivalent will void the warranty offered by Woodtech Cabinet Specialists, Inc.

Note: The only cleaner(s) recommended by Woodtech Cabinet Specialists, Inc. is "Fantastic," or a mild dish washing liquid diluted with water.  If stains persist beyond these instructions, contact Woodtech Cabinet Specialists, Inc. directly for further instructions at 805-544-4828.
